Scott Smits joined the Western Systems team in April of 1995 as the equipment sales manager responsible for the state of Idaho and Western Montana. Scott maintained this position until 2009 where at which time he was made the General Manager of the Western Division responsible for the I-5 corridor of Washington and the full state of Oregon as well as assuming facility manager responsibilities for the Clackamas parts and service center. In 2012 Scott added to his responsibilities by becoming the General Sales Manager overseeing all sales staff covering the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Western Montana while maintaining the Clackamas facility oversight responsibility.
Scott holds a Culinary Arts degree, Hotel – Restaurant management, which he obtain in 1988 while serving his 6 years in the United States Air Force.

Hello, my name is Keely Scott and I am the office manager here at Western Systems & Fabrication. I have been with WSF since early 2012 at the Spokane Valley office. I am a native of Spokane Valley and mother of three. More often than not, I will be on the other end of the line when you first call us, ensuring your needs are handled with a smile. I handle all Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Inventory control, and general administration duties –as well as fill in for parts and shipping as needed.

Tim resides in the greater Seattle area and is a NW native. Tim has over 15 years of sales experience for industrial products and equipment distribution. Tim is responsible for the Western WA sales area for parts and equipment with Western Systems.
Gary has been involved in selling municipal street, refuse, and recycling equipment for 30 years, including 11 years as Regional Manager for refuse body manufacturer Heil Environmental Industries, and 12 years as owner of Walking Floor trailer sales company Young Equipment. Gary is the Regional Sales Manager for Oregon State.

Martin started his career in heavy equipment as a field mechanic for 12 years. The opportunity to sell construction and municipal equipment arose in the early 80’s for Martin – and he brings years of expertise to Western Systems today as regional sales manager for Eastern Washington, Idaho and Western Montana.
Jim Dutton
Parts Manager Spokane
Jim came to Western Systems in 2012 as parts manager at our Spokane WA location, bringing with him over 30 years of heavy equipment, street and refuse parts and service expertise. Our customer trust that Jim can find any part needed to fix their equipment.
David was born in a small town, Majuro, on a small Micronesia island, Marshall IS, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. At six months of age he was adopted by a local family and moved here to the greater Portland OR. area where he attended Sam Barlow High school graduating in 2007. Shortly after graduating High School David joined the United States Army as Mechanized Infantryman where he proudly served for 4 years including two combat tours in Iraq. After receiving his honorable discharge from the Army he followed his long time passion of playing the drums with a local band and working with underprivileged children. David has the right attitude, knowledge and resources to solve your hardest Refuse, Street, or Recycling equipment parts needs, and if you ask nicely he might even play a drum solo for you.
I have been in the garbage industry working for a local hauler and Western Systems since 1999. I have worked on all systems of a garbage trucks including but not limited to hydraulics, electrical, and air. Additionally, I have worked on all aspects of vertical balers, self contained and stationary compactor from repairs to installs and removals of old units.
Colin studied at Linn Benton after graduating high school in 2004. Before joining the WSF team in 2014, Colin served in the U.S. Navy as a Hydraulic and Equipment Technician. Originally from Woodburn, OR, Colin now lives with his wife and family in Mead, WA and has over 15 years of experience in the field of equipment repair and diagnostics.
Erik Hodgkinson

Erik is an experienced service technician with years of experience working on multiple types of hydraulic circuitry, he is proficient in repairing electrical and engine driven hydraulic circuits. His knowledge of modern computer control systems is unsurpassable within the industry. He holds several factory training certifications whether it be a garbage truck, a street sweeper, or a stationary trash compactor Erik is your man to get the job done. Erik is an avid cat-lover and can often be found volunteering his personal time at the local Humane Society.
